We develop distinctive printed matter from initial concept through to the finished piece.Founded in 2023 by graphic designer and printer Lauren Vaughan, Studio Roto brings together a designer's eye with a printer's understanding.

Our practice moves between creative thinking and hands-on production. We see print not simply as the final stage of a project, but as an integral part of the design process, where decisions about format, materials, techniques and finishes help shape the work itself.

We work closely with clients at every stage, from the first conversations around a brief to the final production details. Through design development, material exploration, sampling and prototyping, we test possibilities and refine ideas. Format, paper, colour, texture and finish are conszidered together, allowing the design and its physical production to develop hand in hand.

Our production combines hands-on printing in our workshop with a trusted network of specialist collaborators, allowing us to work across a variety of processes, materials and formats.

We work closely with our clients, whether developing an idea from the beginning or working with an existing design. Through conversation, material exploration, sampling and prototyping, we consider how each element contributes to the finished piece. Paper, colour, texture, format and finishing are explored together, allowing ideas to evolve through both design and production.
From small editions and individual commissions to larger, more complex projects, our approach is shaped by the possibilities and requirements of each brief.
